Well as long as your being respected and having a good time. Why not?
Just curious, where do you live? 2 hours is a long drive for a fresh haircut and some PBR. I live about 2 miles from Hawleywoods.

Its all relevant. JAKE was the OG OC barber, no doubt in my mind. Donnie/Eli has always been great to me and treated me like family. Never met Mark, but I have heard stories from Donnie. Of course, every story has two sides. Sometimes I wish I was back in SoCal though.....

I can't believe that this post is what finally got me to register on this board after months of lurking ....
There's this stuff called Bumble + Bumble Styling Wax that isn't very greasy and'll hold just about anything in place. The downside is that its *ridiculously* expensive (something like $25 bucks for a shoe-polish-sized tin.)
Hope that helps.
i live in the desert. antelope valley to be exact. the drive is not so bad. i hang out the barber shop and at the tattoo shop (sid's) down the street. so i get to visit everybody.
I had a feeling if you were 2 hours away, you might be from the desert. I used to live in the desert until almost 7 yeasr ago. Palm Springs and surrounding areas. Its worth the drive. Its too boring and too hot!
Wait a minute!! Is this the Sickboy that met up with the group of us before the Hootenanny in 2003??
The OC Barbershop gang wars! This sounds like an awesome documentary that is waiting to happen!! Little greasy kids would love it for no reason just like all the hot topic punks that think SLC punk has some profound meaning on their lives.
For some reason Barbers fighting with each other conjurs up images of some kind of Gay-Greaser "Grease" style musical.
<font size="2" face="verdana, arial">I would imagine a greaser old school rumble like in "The Outsiders".Quote:
